My WHY:
I’ve been enamored with color, pattern, texture since I was a child. When I discovered Interior Design was a “thing”, I earned my BS in Interior Design from UT Austin, passed my national certification examination, AND earned a Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer appellation. Why? I want to help. I want to create functional and inviting spaces for others. I want to bring my education and decades of experience to problem solving. I love to take something ugly and outdated and create a functional and beautiful space.
My HOW:
Visiting with you, asking questions, reviewing project details, and listening a lot enables me to define a clear Scope of Service, Timetable, and Budget. Combined with my expertise, experience and education, we can progress through design decisions efficiently. Together, we can develop your design aesthetic.
Collaboration is KEY
My General Contractor relationships are critical as are relationships with artisans, craftsman, installers, vendors, receivers, storage facilities, and so much more. I also collaborate with my cousin Andrea Kalutkewicz, and fellow credentialed commercial interior designer, and sister, Karrie King who is a professional photographer and credentialed landscape designer.
I come from a long line of talented scratch cooks, so I know what proper kitchen design is. As a Kraftmaid Vantage cabinet resource, your cabinetry will be custom designed, documented, ordered, received, and installed with the highest attention to detail.
Communication is KEY. I promise to always answer you. We will communicate regularly. I offer photo realistic color renderings so you will “know” your space. By preselecting narrowed down choices, you won’t be overwhelmed with too many choices.
I am accountable to you and others.
